1 INTRODUCTION
1.1 Purpose
The City of Raleigh (COR) is solicitating proposals from one or more firm(s) with which
to contract for the following services:
The Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a qualified and
experienced vendor to provide and install audio equipment and related support services
in Meymandi Concert Hall, as detailed in the accompanying scope of work.
This upgrade is part of the Center’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the patron
experience at North Carolina’s premier symphony venue.
A detailed scope of services is provided in Section 4 of this document.
All information related to this solicitation, including any addenda, will be posted to the
North Carolina electronic Vendor Portal (eVP) at https://evp.nc.gov/.

1.2 Background
The City of Raleigh, the Capital City of North Carolina, remains one of the fastest growing

The Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts is Raleigh’s premier destination for
live entertainment, offering world-class performances in theater, dance, opera,
orchestral music, popular music, and more.
The Center comprises four distinct venues:
• Raleigh Memorial Auditorium
• Meymandi Concert Hall
• A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater
• Kennedy Theatre
Originally opened in 1932, the Center has become a cultural cornerstone of the region,
hosting over 600 performances and welcoming more than 400,000 patrons annually.

1.4 Pre-Proposal Conference
A required Pre-Proposal conference and site visit for all prospective proposers is
scheduled for December 11, 2025, starting at 1:00 PM EST on the Wilmington Street side
of the Martin Marietta Performing Arts Center located at 2 E. South Street, Raleigh, NC
27601. Prospective Proposers are encouraged to submit written questions in advance.
Date, time, and location of pre-proposal conference is shown above in the RFP Timeline
(Section 1.3).
