NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed proposals will be received by the City Clerk of Salina, Kansas, 300 West Ash, Room 206,
until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, SEPTEMBER 17, 2026 and publicly read in Room 206 thereafter
for:

NORTH OHIO OVERPASS PAINTING
The drawings, specifications, and other contract documents are the property of the City of Salina,
Kansas, and are available for public inspection at the office of the Department of Public Works,
Room 205, 300 W. Ash, Salina, Kansas 67401. Please contact the Department of Public
Works/Engineering at 785-309-5725 with any questions in regard to the project. The documents
may be purchased from the office of the City Engineer or at www.salina-ks.gov/bids through the
QuestCDN link upon payment of $22.00 for each set of plans and specifications, which are non-
refundable. The successful bidder will be furnished an additional three complete sets of plans
and specifications. Additional sets required will be furnished at the current cost.
The City of Salina, Kansas, reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any
irregularities therein.

REQUEST FOR BIDS
The City of Salina, Kansas is currently accepting sealed bids for the following project, at
the office of the City Clerk, City-County Building 300 West Ash, Room 206 Salina, Kansas, until
2:00 p.m. (Central), Thursday, September 17, 2026, at which time the bids will be opened
publicly and read aloud.
NORTH OHIO OVERPASS PAINTING
PROJECT NO. 26007
The project consists of surface preparation and painting of the following improvements on and/or
adjacent to the 531-foot-long North Ohio Street Bridge over the K&O Railroad and the Union
Pacific Railroad (UPRR):
* Roadway fence - on the bridge
* Pedestrian fence and integrated lights - on the bridge
* Concrete barrier - on the bridge
* 24 street light poles, including multiple color applications - 6 poles on the bridge
* 46 pedestrian light poles, including multiple color applications - 0 poles on the bridge
* 5 bollard lights - 0 on the bridge
* Railroad rail on concrete barrier - on the bridge

A Prebid conference will be held as described in the Instructions to Bidders.
Bidders shall be prequalified through KDOT for work specified under Work Type Q -
Painting Structural Steel. The City of Salina, Kansas, reserves the right to reject any or all
