PUBLIC NOTICE – “CONSTRUCTION SERVICES”
On behalf of the pre-qualified Construction Managers at Risk : AL Huber, Hausmann, and Universal , the Lee’s Summit (LSR7) School District is seeking proposals from trade contractors and subcontractors to provide construction services for the Lee’s Summit School District’s new Hazel Grove Elementary School. Bid documents will be available from Drexel Technologies 816-471-7176 on August 17, 2026 .
Responses are due from the Construction Manager to the Owner before 2:00 pm on September 15, 2026 when the Lee’s Summit School District will publicly open and read aloud the bids that were received. Trade contractor and subcontractor bids shall be submitted directly to the above listed CMaR contractors.

Bid will be opened and read aloud at this time.
Sub-contractors, trade partners and suppliers should directly submit their bids to the above listed Construction Managers At Risk.
Bids received after this time will not be accepted.

H. Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond of a sum no less than 5 percent of the Bid Amount.
1. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accord with the Instructions to Bidders. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or draft certified or issued by a state or national bank in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid payable to Lee's Summit R-7 School District, or in lieu thereof, the Bidder may furnish a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. Such bond shall be issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of Missouri and made payable to Lee's Summit R-7 School District as a guarantee that such Bidder will enter into a Contract with the Owner for the Work described in the Bid and furnish bond as specified.
I. Refer to other bidding requirements described in Document 002113 - Instructions to Bidders and Document 003100 - Available Project Information.
J. A Performance Bond and a Material and Labor Payment Bond in amounts equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Bid may be required to be furnished by the successful Bidder at the discretion of the Construction Manager and/or School District.
K. All Bidders are subject to and must comply with applicable state and federal anti-discrimination laws.
L. Your offer will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission.
M. All Contractors and Subcontractors shall conform to the most current State of Missouri, Division of Labor Standards, Section 054, Jackson County, Wage Order No. 33 in accordance with Section 290. 262 CUM. Supp. RSMo (2000). All Contractors and Subcontractors shall conform to the Missouri Prevailing Wage Law Sections 290.550 to 290.580 Public Works During Excessive Unemployment, if such provision applies to this Project.
N. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers.
O. No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids, without consent of the Board of Education, for a period of sixty (60-calendar) days after the schedule time of closing bids.
