Notice of Funding Opportunity - Citrus Heights Application for 2027 CDBG Funding

The City is pleased to announce the release of the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the 2027, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Service Program.

Through this funding opportunity, eligible nonprofit organizations are invited to apply for a share of the available funds to support programs that benefit low- and moderate-income residents. Proposed activities must meet a federal CDBG national objective and comply with all program requirements.

Approximately $90,000 is available for public service activities.

Applications may be submitted for a wide range of eligible services, including but not limited to senior services, youth programs, homeless prevention and response, workforce development, domestic violence support, and fair housing services.

City staff will host a workshop for applicants who wish to learn more about the City’s CDBG program and what is required of a non-profit if selected for funding. The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, July 9, 2026,  from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM via Microsoft Teams. The workshop is optional. If you wish to attend the workshop, please email Nicole Piva at
