Rafferty Dam Spillway Under-Slab Drainage Rehabilitation

The scope of work is to provide contracting services to repair the spillway under-slab drainage piping system at Rafferty Dam including all:

1. Care of Water
2. Cofferdamming
3. All surface earthworks, grading, etc.
4. Deep excavation and associated shoring
5. Supply and installation of new piping, manholes, and pumping infrastructure
6. Provision of borrow material and imported rock and granulars
7. Onsite stockpiling of materials and management thereof
8. Removal and offsite disposal of waste earth materials
9. Supply and installation of low-level crossing upon removal of cofferdamming
10. Installation and wet commissioning of WSA-supplied diesel genset
11. Provision of subcontracted engineering and other professional services, notably: surveying, cofferdam and shoring engineering design, and biological / environmental services
12. Supply and installation of various Public Interaction Around Dams safety signage, bollards, vehicle gates, and fencing
13. Miscellaneous concrete repair within the spillway
14. Wet commissioning of new pump station including operation via both grid and genset power
15. Site restoration

WSA is responsible for water management in the Province of Saskatchewan, which includes managing the Province’s water supply, protecting water quality, ensuring safe drinking water and the treatment of wastewater, reducing flood and drought damage, protecting aquatic habitat, and managing dams and related supply channels.
