I. Introduction
The City of Bangor, Department of Public Works requests Bids for the purchase of thirteen (13)
decorative light fixtures meeting the specifications outlined below. All fixtures must be new, fully
assembled, and manufactured to the configuration identified.
General Information
Available at the following web address: www.bangormaine.gov/Bids on the City's website. By
submitting a response to this solicitation, the Bidder accepts the responsibility for downloading,
reading, and bidding by the terms and conditions set forth in the City's "General Information for
Vendors."
II. Submission
For consideration, submit the Bid Form (page 4) and all materials requested in Section XII.
Qualificationselectronicallyorinanenvelopeviasubmissionmethodslistedbelow.Theenvelopeor
subject line must be clearly marked as "Bid No. P26-24: Decorative Light Fixtures."
Submissions must be received by 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
Submission of documents can be completed by:
A. Emailing to bids@bangormaine.gov; or
B. Hand Delivery to Customer Service Window, 73 Harlow Street, Bangor, ME; or
C. US Post Office addressed to 73 Harlow Street, Purchasing Department, Bangor, ME 04401
(items must be received by the deadline); or
D. All Other Delivery Services to City of Bangor: Purchasing Department, 73 Harlow Street,
Bangor, ME 04401 (Bid must be received by the deadlines).

A tabulation of all received Bids will be posted on the City's website as soon as possible after the
opening date. Visit www.bangormaine.gov/bids for results. The "Show Closed/Awarded/Cancelled
Bids" box must be checked to see the Bid information.
III. Questions

The Citywillprovidearesponse by 4:30P.M. onFriday, September 25,2026. This response willbe
intheformofanaddendum,accessibleontheCity'swebsite.Notificationswillbesenttothosewho
have signed up to receive notifications at www.bangormaine.gov/bids through NotifyME.
Notifications will be sent when new addenda are released.
IV. Late Bids
ItistheresponsibilityoftheBidder(s)toseethattheirBidshavesufficienttimetobereceivedbythe
Purchasing Department before the submittal deadline. Any Bid, portion of a Bid, or requested Bid
revision received at the City Purchasing Department after the time and date specified will be
returned to the Bidder unopened or, if by electronic submission, deleted without being opened.
V. Withdrawal of Bids
NoBiddermaywithdrawtheirBidforaperiodofninety(90)daysfromthedateofopening.AllBids
shall be subject to acceptance by the City during this period.
TowithdrawaBidpriortotheopening,theBiddershallrequestthewithdrawalinwriting.Allcosts
associated with the withdrawal (i.e., mailing fees) will be borne by the Bidder.
VI. Rejection
The City reserves the right to reject any Bids, waive any informalities or defects in Bids, or accept a
higher-costBidifitisdeemedtobeinthebestinterestoftheCity.TheCityalsoreservestherightto
request clarification of any details from the successful Bidder. The evaluation of Bids and
determination of the award will be at the discretion of the City and its judgment shall be final and
without right of recourse by any Bidder.
VII. Information for Bidders
A. TaxExclusion:AllFederalandStatetaxesmustbeexcludedfromtheBidprice.Uponrequest,
a tax exemption certificate for the City of Bangor shall be furnished to the successful Bidder.
B. BidFormandRequirements:TheBidForm(page4)andallmaterialsrequestedinSectionXII.
Qualifications must be completed and returned with the Bid to be considered responsive.
C. Selection Criteria: The award will be based on cost and availability, provided that the bid is
responsive.

VIII. Specifications
The proposed Decorative Light Fixtures shall be new, current production equipment and shall meet
or exceed the following below minimum specifications.

General Requirements:
Fixtures must be delivered fully assembled or with clear assembly instructions.
All components must be compliant with applicable electrical and safety standards.
All products must be covered under manufacturer warranty.
Any deviations from the listed configuration must be clearly identified in the Bid and may be
rejected.
Bidders must provide lead time, shipping details, and confirmation of product availability.
Complete pricing for all 13 fixtures, including shipping.
