The City of Alexander City (hereinafter referred to as the "City") invites and will receive proposals (bids) for City-wide residential solid waste collection and disposal from qualified service providers. The City’s award of this bid will entitle the successful bidder to provide the requested services within the City’s municipal limits to residential subscribers for a minimum five (5) year term. A contract will be awarded by the City to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. The successful bidder must be prepared to mobilize its equipment and personnel to be ready to begin service within the city on April 1st, 2026. A full copy of this bid and all addendums may be obtained at https://alexandercityal.gov/rfps. Bids must be submitted in writing to the Alexander City Clerk’s Office no later than 2:00 p.m. CST on Monday, February 2, 2026. Bids must be mailed or hand delivered to the address below. Bid Number 26-05 must be listed on the outside of the envelope.
