ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for HWY 59/12 SEWER RELOCATIONS, to be constructed for CITY OF GENTRY will be received at GENTRY CITY HALL and addressed to 101 W. MAIN STREET, GENTRY, AR 72734, until 2:30 PM on TUESDAY, MAY 20, 2025 at which time the bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud. The bid opening will be held in the McKee Community Room at the Gentry Public Library, 105 East Main Street.
The Project consists of but not limited to relocation of approximately 375 LF of 8” and 10” sewer, including 18” casing bore under Highway 12.
Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bids shall be on unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.

Addendums to the bid package will be issued through the Garver online Plan Holders List; therefore, all prime bidders shall be responsible for downloading the bid documents from the Garver online plan room in order to be included in the Plan Holders List. Bidders must enter the addenda numbers in Article 3.01 of the Bid Form to verify receipt.
Bidders are required to complete Document 00 45 13, Qualification Statement, included in these bid documents.
This agreement is for services related to a project that is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (“IIJA”), Pub. L. 177-58. Absent an approved waiver, all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in this project must be produced in the United States, as further outlined by the Office of Management and Budget’s Memorandum M-22-11, Initial Implementation Guidance on Application of Buy America Preference in Federal Financial Assistance Programs for Infrastructure, April 18,2022.
Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier’s or certified check upon a national or state bank in an amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price payable without recourse to the Owner, or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fifteen (15) days after notice of award of Contract to him. Such bid guarantee shall be made payable to CITY OF GENTRY.
The successful bidder must furnish a performance, payment, and maintenance bond upon the form provided in the amount of fifty per cent (50%) of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansas to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner.
Bids must remain in effect for 60 days after the bid opening date. Within 60 days from the bid date, the Owner may award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder or reject any or all bids for the project.
The CITY OF GENTRY reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids and bidding deemed to be in the best interests of the CITY OF GENTRY, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional bids.
