Proprietary geospatial analysis and marine conservation research services

Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of geospatial analysis and marine conservation research services from the Marine Conservation Institute as a sole source because of the uniqueness (design, capability, nature) of the services and the contractor's ability to complete the work within a specific timeframe. The Marine Conservation Institute maintains proprietary, geospatially organized datasets aligned with The MPA Guide and has the technical capacity to perform the required analyses within OSU's timeline. The project must be completed within the current grant cycle, which includes deliverables due in the coming quarter and is critical to ensure the findings are available for use in scientific publications and by the Pew Bertarelli Ocean Legacy initiative. An entity may appeal this determination in accordance with OSU Standard 03-010, Section 5.17 no later than the closing date indicated on the website.
