NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE

The 31 Contracting Squadron (CONS) located at Aviano Air Base, Italy is issuing this Notice to inform industry contractors of the Government’s intent to execute a Sole Source Award under FAR Part 13 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), specifically FAR 13.106-1(b)(i).

The intended Contractor is KFT Fire Trainer GMbH – UK

In consideration of the circumstances of the contract action, KFT Fire Trainer GMbH – UK. is the only source that can provide a Semi-annual Inspection and Minor Repair Services of Aircraft Live Fire Trainers IAW the PWS dated 31 July 2025.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 541990-All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services

The Product of Service Code for this requirement is J042- MAI NT/REPAIR/REBUILD OF EQUIP- FIRE FIGHTING/RESCUE/SAFETY EQUIP; ENVIRON PROTECT EQUIP/MATLS

This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive quotes. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only.

No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
