Backdrop Term Agreement-Arch/StrEng/Landscape

The State University of New York College at Oneonta is seeking qualifications from design firms/teams for a Backdrop Term Contract. A Backdrop Term Contract is a pre-awarded agreement for the preparation of studies or for design services and/or contract administration of small projects of a diverse scope. Three to six firms will be chosen in the following category of professional services:

1. Architecture
2. Structural Engineering
3. Landscape Architecture

The Backdrop Term contract involves the selection of several firms to serve as consultants in specific categories. The campus can select directly from these firms to contract for professional services; thereby allowing the campus to design small projects without a separate RFQ and award process each time.

The term of each contract will be for three years with no automatic renewal. SUNY Oneonta will award a contract to three to six design firms based on qualifications received. The qualifications basis for the selected firms is outlined in Section 2.1 of the RFQ.

The maximum cumulative value of each backdrop term contract (combined fees of all term consultants during the term will be $700,000. The maximum single Project consultant fee will be limited to $200,000.

Participation of Women and Minority owned (MWBEs) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOBs) consultants and sub-consultants is encouraged by SUNY Oneonta. MWBE goals for the projects under this contract are set forth in Section 4.2.1.
