Description
Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of pear harvest services from Legacy Orchard Management as a sole source because of the uniqueness (design, capability, nature) of the services and the contractor being the single provider of the services. The contracted provider must supply a fully self-sufficient commercial harvest crew specifically trained in pear harvest, equipped with their own ladders, tractors, forklifts, hauling trucks, picking bags, porta potties, and harvest bins. The crew must also meet Global GAP standards and hold current certification through Diamond Fruit Growers, the packing house used by OSU. An entity may appeal this determination in accordance with OSU Standard 03-010, Section 5.17 no later than the closing date indicated on the website. Appeals must be submitted to Procurement, Contracts and Materials Management at procurement@oregonstate.edu by July 23, 2025 at 2:00 PM PST. For additional information, please contact Hannah Punches by email at Hannah.Punches@oregonstate.edu .
