Sonora Ambulance Station Conversion

The County of Tuolumne through its Health & Human Services Agency (“County”) is seeking bids from qualified firms to convert current office space at 20111 Cedar Road N, Sonora, CA adjacent to the current Public Health Department offices into Ambulance living quarters, offices, and training space . This space will be used to house two on-duty ambulance crews, as well as provide ambulance staff with office and training spaces.

The County maintains multiple ambulance stations strategically located throughout its jurisdictions to ensure optimal emergency response times. In March 2024, the Board of Supervisors approved the purchase of the real property located at 20111 Cedar Road North in Sonora utilizing Ambulance Enterprise funds. A portion of the existing commercial office building will be remodeled into an ambulance station to house at least two (2) ambulance crews, and must include all of the expected residential amenities.

This project consists of electrical, plumbing, framing, flooring and HVAC installation or modifications at 20111 Cedar Road North. The project also involves construction of a carport and exterior stairs, as well as fencing and restriping of an existing parking lot. All plans, specifications, and supporting documents are uploaded as attachments to this invitation for bids. Permits and approved plans have been issued and funding for this project is reserved.
