The Unit MUST Be A Mueller Model CL-12. The Unit Shall Be A New, Current, Standard Model of the Type Specified. The Unit MUST

Be of Heavy-Duty Construction & Capable of Sustained Operation in a Commercial/Municipal Operation. The Unit Shall Be Compatible

with Both Hand & Power Operation. The Unit Must Be Designed for Use On Pressurized or Dry Mains. The Unit Shall Be Designed to Cut

1-1/2 Inch to 12 Inch Holes in Ductile Iron, and 3-3/8 Inch to 10 Inch Holes in PVC and PEP. The Unit Shall Be Capable of 25 Inches (635

mm) Boring Bar Travel. The Unit Shall Be Suitable for Use on Cast Iron Pipe, Ductile Iron Pipe, Cement Lined Cast Iron Pipe, Cement

Lined Ductile Iron Pipe, A-C Pipe, Concrete Pipe, Steel Pipe, and Cast Iron O.D. PVC. The Unit Shall Make Cuts Through Tapping Valves

from 2 Inches to 12 Inches The Unit Shall Be Capable of 250 psig (1724 kPa) Maximum Working Pressure at 100 Degrees F (38 Degrees

C). The Unit Shall Be Capable of 500 Degrees F (260 Degrees C) Maximum Working Temperature at 150 psig (1034 kPa). The Unit Shall

Have An Automatic Feed Control That Can Be Set In Inches and Tenths of An Inch for Any Twelve Inches of the Boring Bar Travel. The

Unit Shall Have An Automatic Feed Travel Indicator that Clearly Shows the Amount of Travel Remaining in Automatic Feed. The Unit

Shall Have An Automatic Feed That Automatically Disengages When the Pre-Set Travel Is Completed and the Indicator Reads Zero. The

Purchase Price of the Machine Shall Include a Free Demonstration by a Representative of the Manufacturer. The Unit Shall Be Easy to

Operate, Have Easy-To-Use Controls, and Be Designed with Lift Handles and Lifting Yokes. The Unit Shall Be Designed So That the

Operator Can Advance or Retract the Boring. The Entire Operating Mechanism of the Unit Shall Be Housed in a Strong Galvanized Steel

Housing. The Unit Shall Have High-Temperature, Self-Adjusting Chevron Boring Bar Packing. The Unit Shall Be Compatible with Mueller

Shell Cutters, Cutter Hubs, and Pilot Drills.

The Unit Shall Be Furnished with the Following Standard Equipment: - Wooden Storage Chest - Ratchet Handle Extension - Screw Driver -

Double Open End Wrenches - Allen Wrenches - Machine to Adapter Bolts and Nuts - Machine to Adapter D-Type Washers - Machine to

Adapter Gasket - Cutting Grease - Instruction Manual Training of CWD Staff Shall Be Included on the Operation and Preventative
