Description:

The work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing and installing electrical improvements for High Pressure Pump No. 1 Replacement, as shown in the drawings, MCC modifications, installation of owner-furnished VFD, cable and conduits, coordination with SCADA integrator, coordination with Pump/Motor contractor, and all other work noted in the contract documents located at City of Aurora Water Treatment Plant.

The City of Aurora encourages minority business firms to submit bids and encourages the successful bidder to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services and construction.

The City of Aurora has a local preference ordinance that would apply to this contract.

Special Requirements:
Any contract or contracts awarded for this project are expected to be funded in part by a Public Water Supply Energy Efficiency Program Grant agreement through the State of Illinois’, Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Illinois EPA), supported by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) under the State Energy Program Award Number DE-EE0010070. This procurement will be subject to the terms and conditions specified in the grant agreement which include but are not limited to: Buy American Requirements for Infrastructure Projects; Davis Bacon Requirements; NEPA Requirements; and Historic Preservation requirements, and all other terms and conditions as applicable. The awarded contractor and any installer sub-contractor shall be certified, and recertified, by Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) by June 1 each year, as an Energy Efficiency Installer and have a valid ComEd Custom Energy Efficiency Service Provider agreement.
