The contractor will be responsible for providing technical assistance to Maryland School for the Deaf in relation to special education topics including but not limited to: instructional best practices for supporting students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Individualized Education Plan writing for students who are Deaf/ Hard of Hearing, assessment for students who are Deaf/ Hard of Hearing, and implementation of state guidance to support students who are Deaf/ Hard of Hearing.

The contractor will serve as the MSDE liaison for the Maryland State Steering Community for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students.

The contractor will attend the Maryland State Steering Committee for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students Annual Conference.

The contractor will provide technical assistance as needed for Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) and Public Agencies on supporting students who are Deaf/ Hard of Hearing.

The contractor will work with other MSDE staff and Divisions to support cross-divisional work that impacts students who are Deaf/ Hard of Hearing in the state of Maryland.

The contractor will advise as needed on topics relating to Deaf/ Hard of Hearing students and their education in the State of Maryland.
