ST-26-003 Street Surface Treatment

Sealed Bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk, Kirksville City Hall, 201 S. Franklin St., Kirksville, Missouri until 3:00 PM local time on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at which time bids for the installation of the above project will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The major proposed work includes:

The removal of existing street markings, installation of street surface seal, and installation of new street markings in accordance with the plans and specifications.

All equipment, material and workmanship must be in accordance with the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents on file with the City Clerk and the office of the Engineer.

Copies of the Contract Documents required for bidding purposes may be obtained from the City Engineering Department, 201 S. Franklin St., Kirksville, MO 63501.

A Pre-Bid Conference Meeting has not been scheduled at this time.

A certified check on a solvent bank or a bid bond by a satisfactory surety in an amount equal to 5% of the base bid must accompany each proposal, and shall be considered the Bid Security.

The successful bidder shall at the time of the execution of the Contract furnish separate performance and payment bonds in a sum equal to the contract amount payable to the City of Kirksville, Missouri, and shall be considered Contract Security.

No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of ninety calendar days after the bidding opening date.

The City reserves the right to reject any of all bids and to waive informalities therein to determine which is lowest and best bid. No award is final until formally approved by the City Council.

All proposals arriving at the designated office after the deadline specified will not be considered and will be returned unopened.

All wages paid for work under this contract shall comply with requirements of the prevailing wage law of the State of Missouri (MO Public Law 294, Section 290.210 through 290.340 and Section 290.550 through 290.580, as amended RSMo 1969).
