ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the West Columbia Maintenance Building will be received, by the City
of West Columbia, in the New Brookland room of 200 N. 12th Street, West Columbia, SC, until 2:00 pm
local time on Thursday May 14, 2026 at which time the Bids received will publically opened and read.
The Project consists of an 11,700 square foot pre-engineered metal building shop that houses vehicle
and parts storage and administrative areas. The administrative office areas have three private offices,
open office area, conference room, breakroom, and locker/restroom facilities and encompasses
approximately 3,000 square foot of the total building. The remaining of the building is considered
storage with exception to the last bay, which is open/covered storage.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum price basis, as indicated in
the Bid Form.
Bidding Documents may be examined at 200 N. 12th Street, West Columbia, SC on Mondays through
Thursdays between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Bidding Documents may be ordered online by registering with the Director of Engineering & Water
Plants via email at knobloch.tiffanie@wseinc.com. Following registration, complete sets of Bidding
Documents may be downloaded from a link provided by the Technical Coordinator from Weston &
Sampson in portable document format (PDF) files. The cost and coordination of printed bid sets is
provided by the individual bidder. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available, as the set
is to be treated as a whole document.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
