The Wallowa Whitman National Forest requires Non-Commercial Thinning and Hand Pile service over approximately 1211 Base acres and 708 Optional Thinning and Hand Pile. 1919 total acres in the BCW, Ten Cent, and East Face WUI project areas of the Whitman Ranger District to reduce hazardous fuels.
