Sealed proposals for “Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project, Contract 1 – General” will be received by the Lehigh Township Municipal Authority, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, via PennBid, until 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, on Thursday, November 21, 2024.
This project will consist of general maintenance repairs to existing sanitary sewer manholes and three (3) laterals on various streets within the Danielsville Wastewater Treatment Plant sanitary sewer collection area. Bidders to be aware that coordination with “Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project, Contract 2 – Manhole Lining” will be required for manholes that require frame or riser replacement in addition to lining.
Bids will be administered via PennBid. Complete sets of contract documents are available via www.PennBid.net. The successful bidder who is awarded the contract will be required to pay "PennBID" a fee in accordance with their established fee schedule.
Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Lehigh Township Municipal Authority.
A non-mandatory Prebid Meeting will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 Lehigh Township Municipal Office, 1069 Municipal Road Walnutport, PA 18088.
Award of Contract, if a Contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities.
All current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Standards and Specifications will prevail over all standards and specifications included in this contract.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner.
The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability.
