Project Description: Stage II Invitation to Bid
Only contractors who have been prequalified under a Stage I Prequalification for Contractors and are currently on the respective DFCM Prequalified Contractors list as of the date of this solicitation are eligible to bid on this project.
The State of Utah - Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) is requesting bids for the referenced project:
Project Description: This project consists of comprehensive asbestos, lead-based paint, and hazardous materials abatement at the Ogden-Weber Technical College Event Center Building in North Ogden, Utah. The work is required to support an upcoming renovation, seismic remodel, and reroof project. Abatement includes removal of friable and non-friable asbestos-containing materials, select lead-based painted components, and identified universal waste in accordance with Utah DAQ, EPA NESHAP, and OSHA regulations.
The intent is for the majority of the abatement work to be completed by the substantial completion date identified in the RFP (June 1, 2026). Following this phase, the hazardous materials contractor will coordinate directly with the General Contractor to support limited, follow-on abatement associated with construction sequencing, including abatement required for CMU penetrations identified and laid out by the General Contractor. A milestone-based approach may be utilized, including adjustments to the substantial completion date as necessary.
Construction Cost Estimate: $350,000.00
