APEX Accelerators are an official government contracting resource for small businesses. Find your local APEX Accelerator (opens in new window) for free government expertise related to contract opportunities.
APEX Accelerators are funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense.
The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a sole source contract modification to The Boeing Company (Boeing), Seattle, WA for Fiscal Year (FY) 26 P-8A Poseidon Deployment Mechanism Kits. This procurement will also contain support tasking including the disassembly, inspection, cleaning, assembly, and testing of P-8A parts such as actuators, fairings, and electrical and fiber harnesses. A quantity of five (5) Deployment Mechanism Kits are planned to be procured in the base year with options for one (1) Deployment Mechanism Kit, one (1) Mechanism test stand, and one (1) Mechanism repair manual. Deliveries are expected to complete 21 months after award. These requirements will be procured in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under Title 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." Boeing is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of these kits with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data that can meet the Government requirements on a timely basis. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Boeing directly via Brittany Olden at brittany.d.olden@boeing.com.
