Exit Signage and Emergency Lighting Upgrades

Grande Spirit Foundation (GSF) is inviting bids for the supply and installation of replacement exit signage and emergency lighting equipment at Pioneer Lodge, Heritage Lodge and Wild Rose Manor in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

The Work includes replacement of existing exit signs with green Running Man pictogram signage, replacement and installation of LED emergency lighting battery units and remote emergency heads, installation of plug-in emergency lighting units, associated electrical work, permits, testing and verification. The Contractor will be responsible for all labour, materials, equipment, supervision and incidentals required to provide complete and operational installations.

A mandatory pre-bid site visit will be held on September 18, 2026 at 10:00 AM MT, commencing at Heritage Lodge, 10111 96 Street, Grande Prairie, Alberta. Bidders will then proceed with GSF to Pioneer Lodge and Wild Rose Manor.

Bidders must submit the required bid documents identified in the Bid Submittal Checklist, including the signed Bid and Contract Form, signed Schedule A, Certificate of Insurance, OH&S Safety Plan/COR/SECOR confirmation, WCB Clearance Letter, Corporate Certificate or Business Licence, preliminary work schedule, and acknowledgement of any issued Addenda.

Completion is required by November 20, 2026.

Bids must be received by Grande Spirit Foundation no later than September 25, 2026 at 2:00 PM MT.

Email submission is preferred. Digital bids must be emailed to Justin Bristol at jbristol@grandespirit.org and submitted as PDF attachments. Bids sent to any other email address will not be accepted.

Maximum email size is 15 MB per email. If the submission exceeds 15 MB, it may be submitted in multiple emails. Each email must clearly identify Contract Number GSF-2026-005-A, Project Name – Exit Signage and Emergency Lighting Upgrades, and the sequence of emails (for example, “1 of 2” and “2 of 2”). All parts must be received before the closing deadline.

Responses that affect the Bid Documents will be issued by written Addendum. Verbal information or clarification shall not modify the Bid Documents.

Mandatory pre-bid site visit commencing at Heritage Lodge, 10111 96 Street, Grande Prairie, Alberta. Bidders will then proceed with GSF to Pioneer Lodge, 9508 100 Avenue, Grande Prairie, Alberta, and Wild Rose Manor, 9358 70 Avenue, Grande Prairie, Alberta to review the remaining project locations.

The purpose of the site visit is to review existing exit signage and emergency-lighting equipment, verify existing conditions, quantities, mounting arrangements, access requirements and electrical conditions that may affect the Work or Contract Price, and provide Bidders with an opportunity to raise questions regarding the Work.

Attendance by the prime contract Bidder is mandatory. Major subcontractors may attend at the discretion of the prime contract Bidder. Other parties may attend only with prior approval from GSF.
