Project: Limited Term Support Service for I-81 Corridor Improvement Program (for Design-Build).
Description: The I-81 Corridor Improvement Program (Program) is an extremely important program focused on delivery of a variety of projects to improve the safety and operational characteristics of the I-81 Corridor within the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Program currently consists of an array of Operational projects as well as Capital Projects spread across the 325-mile long corridor. The projects span numerous jurisdictional boundaries as well as VDOT District Boundaries (Staunton, Salem, and Bristol Districts). The program is funded by the I-81 Corridor Improvement Fund, which consists of two distinct funding sources: the Interstate Operations and Enhancement Fund and a special regional motor fuel tax. The program is unique in that it has no defined end; it is perpetual in nature. As projects are completed, the appointed I-81 Committee will consider new projects to be added to the program over time and provide recommendations to the Commonwealth Transportation Board to add projects to the Six Year Improvement Plan.
The proposed fixed billable rate on-call contract will have a maximum value of $10,000,000.00 per term.
