American Rescue Plan Act Funding (ARPA)

INVITATION TO BID

October 23, 2024

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Lake City, Georgia from prospective contractors for the Lake

City – City Hall Expansion. The City of Lake City is soliciting bids from prospective contractors to

perform improvements. Work consists of furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and services

for the construction of the 2130 SF City Hall building expansion and corresponding site improvements.

Scope includes items associated with site work, drainage, utilities, parking lot, and building construction.

Contractor must be a Licensed General Contractor by the State of Georgia.

Copies of the plans and bid documents can be picked up at Lake City - City Hall at 5455 Jonesboro Road,

Lake City, Georgia 30260.

All contractors that choose to Bid must register no later than November 15, 2024, by emailing Susan Crutchfield at susan@whitleyeng.com.

Plans and bid documents will be available beginning October 23, 2024.

Questions must be emailed to Susan Crutchfield no later than November 15, 2024. Response to questions will be provided no later than November 19, 2024.

A prebid meeting will not be held for this project. Sealed Bids will be received at City Hall until 2:00 PM on November 26, 2024. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time.

This project is funded or partially funded by the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) program

through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and is subject to compliance with funding agency

regulations. No bid may be modified, withdrawn, or canceled for a period of sixty (60) days after the

time designated for the receipt of Bids or until the Bidder is notified by the City whichever is sooner.

The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities, technicalities, and

formalities.
