Overview

Summary

The City of Palo Alto is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive preventative maintenance, regulatory compliance support, and routine and emergency repair services for its two compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations located at the Municipal Services Center. These stations include both a public CNG station and a non-public, fleet-focused station, each equipped with specialized compressor, storage, dispenser, and fuel management systems that require skilled, certified technicians to maintain and service.

The selected vendor will conduct an initial assessment, develop and implement a manufacturer-recommended preventative maintenance plan, and ensure all components remain compliant with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. Contractors must also be prepared to provide responsive emergency repair services and maintain detailed documentation, certifications, and inspection records throughout the contract term.

Background

Given that the Public CNG Station is presently out of service, proposers will also be asked to provide both a full maintenance plan and a reduced compliance-only maintenance schedule that keeps the station in regulatory standing and allows for an efficient return to service if needed.
