Description: Lenoir County (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Project: North Lenoir HS Pump Station and Force Main Wooten Project Number: 2551- AB Owner: Lenoir County 101 North Queen Street, PO Box 3289 Kinston, NC, 28502 Engineer & Issuing Office for Bidding Documents: The Wooten Company 301 West 14th Street Greenville, NC 27834 252.757.1096 Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Lenoir County Manager's Office (2nd floor) located at 101 North Queen Street, Kinston, NC until Friday May 16th 2025, at 2:00pm local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Project includes the following Work: 1 28,990 LF of 6-inch Force Main 2 510 LF of 6-inch Force Main with 12-inch Steel Encasement by Dry Jack and Bore 3 Eight (8) 6-inch Horizontal Direction Drills Totaling 1,760 LF 4 140 LF of 8-inch Gravity Sewer 5 Twelve (12) Air Release Manholes with Air Release Valves 6 Eighteen (18) 6-inch Plug Valve and Boxes 7 Two (2) new 4-foot Diameter Manholes 8 New 180 GPM Lift Station 9 Decommission Existing WWTP 10 Miscellaneous Appurtenances. Bids are requested for Contract: North Lenoir HS Pump Station and Force Main OBTAINING THE BIDDING DOCUMENTS Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents as follows: The Issuing Office and Owner’s Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm. Dodge Construction (online) Construct Connect (online) North American Procurement Council, Inc. (online) Prospective Bidders may obtain Bidding Documents upon the submittal of the non-refundable fee, as listed below, to the attention of Ms. Susan Colon (scolon@thewootencompany.com) at the issuing office. With a request for Bidding Documents supply the following information: Company name, contact person with email, street address, and phone numbers; N. C. contractor’s license with limitation and classification; indicate if the firm will be a Bidder, Supplier or Sub-Contractor. Obtaining the Bidding Documents: Access to Website Download of PDF: Registration and access to the Issuing Office Project Bidding site for Electronic download of Bidding Documents as PDF files. This does not include printed copies. Access to Website and Printed Copies: Bidding Documents, including full size Drawings, will be shipped to the Bidder for a fee in the amount of $400.00. The Bidding Documents will be shipped UPS ground. This fee will include registration and access to the Issuing Office Project Bidding site for electronic download of Bidding Documents as PDF Files. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office If Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format, Bidder must still be registered at the Bid Website. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. PRE-BID CONFERENCE A pre-bid conference will not be conducted for this Project. INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. Bidders will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding Documents as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87 and the Instructions to Bidders. Bid Security in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
