The Fort Cavazos Health Contracting Branch (CavHCB), Medical Readiness Contracting Office – West (MRCO-W), Army Health Contracting Activity, MEDCOM, Fort Cavazos, Texas intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price, sole source contract to Beckman Coulter Inc., under authority of FAR § 13.106-1(b)(1), for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization. This is for the non-personal service of maintenance service for two Government-owned (2) hematology analyzers to support Irwin Army Community Hospital (IACH), Fort Riley, Kansas, 66442-4030. Award will be on or about 23 May 2025. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 811210, “Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance”. The Small Business Size Standard is $34M.

A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to provide the non-personal service of maintenance service for two Government-owned (2) hematology analyzers. The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available.
