Smitty 24/25 Timber Sale

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This sale is 321 acres located on Tiger Bay State Forest in Volusia County, Florida (see attached maps). Timber to be removed includes 321 acres of 4th row operator select thinning of 20-year-old slash pine to a target basal area of 60-80 square feet per acre. The select trees to be removed from the remaining rows are diseased, damaged, forked, suppressed, or trees approved by the Forester-in-Charge.  The sale boundaries will be roads, wetlands, timber changes, and fire lines. The estimated volume to be removed is 11,246 tons of pine pulpwood and better. This will be a twelve (12) month contract.
