NOTICE OF INTENT FOR LABORATORY EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES

Notice of Intent: Sole Source Award

The National Institutes of Health (NIH/OLAO), hereby gives notice of its intent to award a sole source contract to Plexon, Inc, located at 6500 Greenville Avenue, suite 730, Dallas, TX 75206 for the purchase of the following items:

1. Headstages and cables (assorted): connect recording devices to the data acquisition system


2. Multi-electrode arrays and assemblies (14): these have 256-1024 channels each and are reusable per rig (i.e. not disposable items)


3. Acquisition and analysis software (6): Brand-specific software and licenses for installation on data acquisition PCs


4. Brand specific overhead camera system (1) with assorted assembly parts


5. Optogenetics systems (3) and associated parts

This is not a request for competitive proposals. Potential sources who believe they can provide the service listed above are invited to submit a capability package in writing to Contract Specialist, Ms. Van Holley at holleyv@od.nih.gov no later than 9:00 AM ET on Friday, April 18, 2025.

Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. The Government will not cover any costs for any information or inquiry submitted as a result of this notice.

The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is : 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. The small business size standard is 1,000 employees.

Responses shall include, at a minimum, the following information:

1. Name of Company;

2. SAM UEI;

3. POC name and contact information;

4. The specific product(s) that your company offers that fulfills the same function as the items to be included on this order; and

5. A description of product/services and overall capabilities.
