NOTICE OF MILK AND BREAD BID OPPORTUNITY

Minnewaska Area Schools is accepting sealed bids for the purchase of milk and bakery products for the 2026–2027 school year. Local and regional vendors are invited to submit bids in accordance with the district’s specifications. Official bid forms and specifications are attached.

The district is requesting bids for a variety of dairy products, including:

• ½-pint skim and 1% white milk cartons
• ½-pint fat-free chocolate milk cartons
• Bulk 5-gallon white and chocolate milk
• Cottage cheese, sour cream, yogurt, orange juice, apple juice, and whipping cream

Nutritional information must accompany all milk bid submissions.

The district is requesting bids for USDA Whole Grain-Rich bakery products, including:

• 53% Whole Wheat Dinner Rolls
• 53% Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns
• 53% Whole Wheat Hot Dog Buns
• 53% Whole Wheat Sub Buns

All bakery products must meet USDA Whole Grain-Rich requirements and serving size specifications.

Completed bid forms must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “BID FOR MILK” or “BID FOR BREAD” and received at the District Office no later than 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026. Faxed bids will not be accepted. Bid recommendations will be presented to the Minnewaska Area Schools Board of Education following the bid opening.
