The Department of Veterans Affairs, San Diego VA Healthcare System, located at 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161; has a requirement to conduct Fire & Smoke Door
Inspection annually to meet VHA Requirements and adherence to The Joint Commission LS.02.01.10 to utilize the NFPA 80, 101, and 105 standards. There is known Asbestos located within the interstitial spaces of building 1. Below are the number of doors located throughout the hospital that will
be required to be inspected:
Inspect 130 Doors within Buildings 1 & 11 Interstitial spaces
Inspect 366 Doors throughout Buildings 1 & 11, non-Interstitial spaces.
Inspect 4 Roll-up Fire & Smoke Doors, non-Interstitial spaces.
