Description

The purpose of this post is seeking sources for market research purposes and no contract or obligation from the government will come of it.





The 90th Contracting Squadron’s Infrastructure Flight is conducting market research for a Commodity with Install service to build a new playground north-east of Building 2111 at F.E. Warren AFB, Cheyenne, Wyoming.



The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary for the purchase and installation of the playground equipment and safe fall area. This includes excavation, installation of playground surface components, and installation of playground equipment. The review of plans by Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ), construction permit acquisition, and topographic site survey including all fees and expenses, are also to be included.





Playground Equipment Criteria



a) Playground Equipment must include the following minimum salient characteristics listed below. Acceptable playgrounds are listed as examples in Table 1.




  • Four slides

  • 3 Large Activities – Examples include climbers, moving bridges and ladders

  • 3 Small Activities - Examples include music instruments, small climbing or stepping equipment, activities limited to a single playground panel such as a finger maze



b) All playground equipment shall meet the approved color scheme for F.E. Warren AFB. The colors acceptable for the main equipment are Black, White, Tan, Dark Red and Dark Green. Other accent colors may be used with approval by the Project Engineer.



c) The maximum height for the playground equipment is 20 feet.



d) The playground safe area shall not exceed 2700 square feet.



The designated NAICS code is 423910, with a size standard of 100 employees.



Responses shall reference this Sources Sought announcement number, and shall include the following information:




  • Business Name, Point of contact name, email address, and telephone and fax numbers

  • CAGE Code and UEI

  • Capabilities statement (including equipment catalog)

  • Business size and any/all socio-economic category(ies) for the identified NAICS code, including Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Women-Owned Small Business, and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business



Answers to include with submissions:




  1. Can your company execute this playground acquisition?

  2. Do you recommend the NAICS 423910 or 339920 for this requirement?

  3. Will you subcontract the groundwork associated with the requirement, or is your company capable of fulfilling totality?

  4. What is a realistic execution timeframe for this requirement?

  5. Please provide a digital copy of a color wheel to better accommodate with requested structural design (if applicable.)
