Project Description: NOTICE TO BIDDERS
TOWNSHIP OF DARBY
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA
Sealed bids will be received by the Township of Darby until 10:00 A.M. on September 23rd, 2026. At the Board of Commissioners meeting on October 21st, 2026, all sealed bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud for the Darby Township Police Administration Building Renovations.
All Bid Documents, Construction Plans and Specifications are available online via the PennBid Program at www.PennBid.net at no cost to prospective bidders. The successful bidder, who is awarded the contract, will be required to pay PennBid program a fee of 1/3% of the contract award value. There is a minimum award fee of $150.00 and a maximum of $6,000.00. Bidders must confirm the fees associated with the awarded bid.
A bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid made payable to the Township of Darby must accompany each bid.
Bidder’s attention is called to all of the requirements contained in the bid package, particularly to the Prevailing Wage Rates, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions and the requirements for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price and a one-year maintenance bond for 10% of the contract price.
The Township of Darby reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids thereof, and waive any informality in the bidding, as they deem in the interest of the Township.
