Solicitation Summary
The Town of Washington Grove, Maryland (“Town”) invites proposals from qualified design/build
firms for the renovation and modernization of the Woodward Park playground, in accordance with
the 2025 Town of Washington Grove Playground Comprehensive Plan (Attachment 1). This Request
for Proposals (“RFP”) seeks a firm that can provide integrated design, procurement, and installation
services to deliver a renovated playground that honors the unique aesthetic and historic character of the Town.

Additional Instructions
This is a design/build procurement. The selected firm will be responsible for developing an initial
design, vetting the details of that design with key Town stakeholders, modifying as needed and
finalizing the overall design. The selected firm will subsequently coordinate and oversee all required
site work; procure new equipment specified in the design and approved by the Town; manage the
installation of new equipment; and coordinate all required inspections through project closeout. The
Town will retain approval authority over equipment selections, design decisions, and scope
modifications throughout the project.
