Environment and Protected Areas
Development of provincial climate-related policies and the ability to respond to federal policies requires Alberta to have the capability to perform sophisticated analysis and forecasting of the social, economic, and environmental impacts of these policies and related decisions. Alberta Environment and Protected Areas is seeking to gain access to the appropriate suite of modelling tools to be able to perform this analysis internally.
To have access to best practices and methods in the field of empirical economic-energy-environment modelling in the Alberta public service. The preferred capabilities include the ability to study economic impacts of policy scenarios, and how policy, energy prices, and technological change impact energy use.
