Project Description: Hillsborough County seeks additional experienced and qualified vendors for a two (2) year contract period for ongoing and as-needed purchases of two (2) string Orchardgrass/Alfalfa (O&A) horse hay bales and two (2) string Alfalfa horse hay bales for 17 horses located at the Bakas Equestrian Center at a total aggregate cost of $120,000.00. The County will solicit competitive quotes at the time of need from each awarded vendor for current market pricing so County staff can immediately order and pick-up the required horse hay bales from the lowest priced vendor. The County currently utilizes Agi-Feed, Inc., d/b/a Feed Depot; G Five Feed & Outdoor, LLC; and Jernan, LLC d/b/a AAA Feed Depot. The County will pick up the horse hay bales at the vendor’s location; however, the vendor’s pickup location must be within 50 miles of the Bakas Equestrian Center located at 11510 Whisper Lake Trail, Tampa, FL 33626.
The County reserves the right to extend the time period further, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award accordingly. Contractors who believe that they can provide goods that are substantially and materially the same, must submit clear and convincing information to support their ability to provide the required goods. The County will only accept questionnaires submitted through its electronic bidding system (Euna). Questionnaire that are submitted or delivered by non-electronic means (hard-copy paper), facsimile, electronic mail (e-mail), electronic file, or means other than through the County's electronic bidding system (Euna) will not be accepted or considered. Please visit our vendor's webpage (hcfl.gov/vendors) for information regarding vendor registration, electronic bid submission, procurement opportunities, and other important resources. To preserve the integrity of the qualification process, questionnaires submitted after the due date and time, unless otherwise amended, cannot and will not be accepted. Please do not wait until the last minute, hour, or day to submit your questionnaire, as you may encounter technical difficulties or issues that cannot be resolved before the due date and time. When preparing to submit your questionnaire, please read and follow all instructions regarding formatting and other details related to the form(s) to be used.
