Caltrans Real Property Sale: Residential Property Appraisers

The City is seeking the services of a highly-qualified residential property appraiser to provide appraisal services in connection with its acquisition and disposition of a real estate portfolio of approximately six (6) vacant single-family or duplex properties.

Pursuant to California Senate Bill 959 (Portantino, 2022), the City of Pasadena has the opportunity to purchase vacant surplus properties from the California Department of Transportation (“Caltrans”). The City anticipates purchasing approximately six (6) vacant properties from Caltrans. Properties will then be sold "as-is" in their current condition to market buyers, and the sales proceeds will be deployed for the acquisition or development of affordable housing in the City.

In connection with its purchase and the subsequent sale of these residential properties, the City is seeking the services of a highly-qualified appraiser experienced with appraising single-family properties in Pasadena to prepare appraisal reports for the City.
