SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ANNOUNCEMENT
Navy Supply Command Fleet Logistics Center Puget sound (NAVSUP FLCPS) is posting a sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest and capability to replace the obsolete Direct to Sailor (DTS) satellite entertainment system onboard a Military Sealift Command (MSC) T-AKE class vessel. The Government is anticipating a firm fixed price Supply-type contract utilizing FAR Part 12 and 13 procedures. Any future solicitation and subsequent amendment(s) will be posted via SAM.gov.
The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 336611 with a small business standard size of 1,300 employees.
The results of the market research may contribute to future procurement process decisions. No feedback or evaluations will be provided regarding any submissions on the sources sought. Please provide a response no later than 04 NOV 2024 @ 1200 PST.
A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
DESCIRPTION OF REQUIREMENT:
This work item is for the removal of an obsolete TV-DTS AL-7200-3MR2 Series Satellite DTS system and replacement with a new DTS system. Removal work includes controlled welds to remove outdated antennae and system components; removal of fiber optic wires, cabling, piping, etc; and prepping the ship for the installation of the new DTS system. The new DTS is expected to utilize as much existing equipment as possible, such as pre-existing wiring, cabling, etc. Once installed, additional welding, aluminum work, or painting may be necessary to return various ship surfaces to as-found condition. The contractor will be responsible for aligning and testing the new system, as well as familiarizing the ship’s crew representative with usage, testing, maintenance, etc procedures.
Period of Performance is anticipated to start in JAN 2025 and continue into MAR 2025. Location is currently TBD Outside of the Continental United States (OCONUS). The contractor must be capable of traveling to locations within Europe, the Middle East, or the Far East/Asia.
