Please see the attached Advertisement forBids for General Construction Contracting services for a Community Safe Room project in the Village of Almena, Wisconsin (Barron County).

The Community Safe Room will have a 325-person capacity (323 ambulatory, 2 wheelchair) to serve local residents, their guests and other visitors to the community.   It will be funded, in large part, by a grant to the Village from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) .  The facility will be 2,304 gross square feet (1,638 square feet usable Safe Room floor area) and designed, constructed, and maintained to FEMA standards for the protection of the life safety of the target population from tornado and high wind events.
