The City of Gainesville is requesting proposals for the Lakeside WTP Filter Expansion Project. The Project will consist of the construction of three new dual-bed two-cell gravity filters equipped with media and Leopold Type XA Underdrain Systems. Other contruction will include: New filter effluent, backwash, and rewash pipes installed in the filter building pipe gallery; New air scour piping to support new filters; Civil improvements associated with new wash water main serving new filters discharging into existing circular gravity thickener; New asphalt roadway to filters and retacking existing asphalt roadways; Improving exterior concrete stairs; Relocating HVAC condensing unit and refrigerant lines; Demolition of supply fans in the high service pump building and Ancillary electrical and instrumentation improvements. A mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lakeside WTP at 5640 GC Crow Road, Flowery Branch, GA 30542. Proposals will be received at the Department of Water Resources Engineering and Construction Services Division, 757 Queen City Parkway, Gainesville, GA 30501, 1st Floor until 2:00 p.m., local time, Thursday, February 26, 2026.
