The Purpose of this addendum is to address questions related to the RFP received via email by
January 12, 2026.
Question: The Rhode Island state minimum wage increased to $16 per hour in 2026 – how does
this impact the hourly wage for One Providence for Youth and the $1,800 per pupil amount?
Answer: The 2026 minimum hourly rate for One Providence for Youth will be $16, consistent with
the Rhode Island state minimum wage. The per pupil amount is $1,920 if each youth works the
maximum of 120 hours for the duration of the program.
Questions: Please elaborate on the requirement for youth presentations. Do presentations
have to be submitted to the City?
Answer: Youth participating in both Work Experience Placements and College and Career
Education Pathways Programs will prepare and deliver a final presentation on their One Providence
for Youth 2026 experience. This will be an opportunity for youth to prepare a presentation and share
their work, a skill they will continue to develop throughout their education and career.
Presentations may be delivered individually or in groups and partner organizations will determine
other key details to meet the needs of and best serve youth participating in their program (such as
format, duration, and topics).
Presentations are not required to be submitted to the City.
Question: Is there a preferred youth-to-supervisor ratio for One Providence for Youth
programming?
Answer: There are required youth-to-supervisor ratios for One Providence for Youth programs. For
Work Experience Placements, there should be no more than eight youth per supervisor (1:8
supervisor to youth ratio). For College and Career Pathways Education Placements, there should
be one supervisor or educator for every ten youth (1:10 supervisor to youth ratio).
Question: Will awardees use a standard reporting template (timesheets, outcomes, youth
evaluations), and can it be shared in advance?
Answer: Awardees will use a standard reporting template for key youth demographics and
outcomes. However, organizations use their own template and format for timesheets.
You will find a sample reporting template from 2025 to use as a guide – reporting requirements may
change for this summer.
