Bids are requested for a storm drain replacement project on Maple Street in the City of Brewer.
The approximate limits of this project are on Maple Street from South Main Street to Winter Street. A failing section of vitrified clay pipe will be replaced by 12” HDPE MaineDOT Option III dual wall pipe with a smooth interior. All existing structures will need to be connected into this new storm drain line. A doghouse manhole structure will be installed to make the connection to existing clay pipe at the end point of the project.
Existing catch basins will be left in place and connected to the new storm drain line. After the storm drain replacement is complete, the trench will be paved to match existing depths. Note, a fabric layer currently exists in the roadway and this will need to be replaced prior to repaving the trench.
Interested bidders may obtain bid information and specifications for the project by contacting Brewer Engineering Department at (207) 989-8430.
