IT Asset Management Software

The University at Buffalo intends to make an award under our discretionary authority, pursuant to NYS Education Law §355 (5) (a), which is up to $125,000, for an IT asset management and network inventory platform. A sealed bid will not be held. The University at Buffalo (“University”) is seeking the below services:

• IT Asset Discovery: Agentless network scanning to detect and catalog network connected Windows, Linux, Unix, macOS, VMware server devices, including physical, virtual, and cloud-based assets, with an optional scan agent for hard to reach assets.
• Detailed Asset Inventory: Collection of in-depth information about hardware, software, installed updates, patches, warranty, and user details, providing a unified view of the technology environment.
• Software Deployment: Capability to remote install software, uninstall, and update software on devices.
• License Management: Track software installations and usage to help manage licenses and ensure compliance.
• Vulnerability Detection & Security Insights: Identify outdated software, security misconfigurations, and other IT risks to enhance cybersecurity posture.
• Provide lifecycle insights to track the support status of hardware and software, helping mitigate end-of-life risks.
• Cloud and Hybrid IT Asset Management: Support tracking cloud-based applications and virtual infrastructure, providing visibility across hybrid IT environments.
• Integration Capabilities: Integrates with AssetPanda, Microsoft PowerBI, Splunk, and Sentinal.
• Reporting & Dashboards: Ability to generate customizable reports and provide dashboards to analyze asset data, track usage, and monitor security vulnerabilities.
• Offer multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO) using Shibboleth and/or InCommon for secure access.
