MASSACHUSETTS CONVENTION CENTER AUTHORITY
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS MASS MUTUAL CENTER MMC Locker Room and Green Room Upgrades (S20) The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (the "Authority") will receive sealed general bids for the MASS MUTUAL CENTER MMC Locker Room and Green Room Upgrades (S20) at the Administrative Offices of the Authority at 415 Summer Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02210, until 12:00 p.m. local time on October 8, 2025, immediately after which, in a designated room, the general bids will be opened and read publicly. The work of this project in Springfield, Massachusetts includes, but is not limited to, renovations of the existing locker rooms, dressing rooms and bathrooms at the MassMutual Center (MMC). The scope encompasses selective demolition, interior architectural upgrades, and associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing modifications, along with necessary patching and repairs of finishes. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to complete the Work in accordance with the drawings and specifications. A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00am on September 17, 2025, starting at 10:00am at the MMC located at 1277 Main Street Springfield, Massachusetts. The pre-bid conference will be followed by a walk-through of the site. Questions or requests for information, clarification or interpretation of the bidding documents must be submitted to bflynn@massconvention.com in writing in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on September 26, 2025. Each general bid on this contract must be accompanied by a copy of a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) showing that the bidder has the classification and capacity rating to perform the work required. In order to be eligible to bid on this contract, a general bidder must be certified for the estimated project cost of $1,380,000 and for the following category of work: Prime Contractors – General Construction Each general bid must also be accompanied by a Contractor Qualification Update Statement. The Authority will furnish copies of the Contractor Qualification Update Statement form to any bidder on request. Any general bid submitted without the appropriate Certificate of Eligibility and Contractor Qualification Update Statement shall be invalid. 1. Acoustical Tile 2. Resilient Floors 3. Painting 4. Fire Protection Contract documents for bidders will be available on or after September 10, 2025 via the Authority’s website rfp.massconvention.com and each bidder may obtain the documents at such address, together with any addenda or amendments which the Authority may issue. Bidding procedures and award of the contract will be in accordance with the provisions of Sections 44A through 44J, inclusive, of Chapter 149 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Each bid shall be submitted and will be considered in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and other Contract Documents, and shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the value of the bid. September 4, 2025 - 2 - ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids if it be in the public interest to do so. The Authority reserves the right to cancel this procurement at any time without liability to any bidder or other party. The successful general bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and also a labor and materials or payment bond as set forth in the bid form. Attention is called to the minimum rates of wages to be paid on the work as determined under the provisions of Chapter 149, Massachusetts General Laws, Sections 26 to 27D, inclusive, as amended, and as set forth in the Contract Documents, which the contractor will be required to pay.
