PART 1 - GENERAL
1.1 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
A. Muskegon Area ISD is requesting proposals for an Admin Training
Center/Room (“RFP”). Bidders shall provide, install, configure, test and commission a
fully operational Admin Training Room with a technology package suitable for both
onsite and hybrid engagement.
B. A complete list of the buildings (“Sites”) is provided in the schedule of values at
the end of this document
1.2 Due on or before 12:00 PM (local time) on December 8, 2025 (“Due Date”), the Owner
will receive bid proposals for the project. The Owner will not consider or accept a bid
proposal received after the due date for bid proposal submission. All bid proposals received
after the due date will be returned by making them available to the respective Bidder,
unopened, for said Bidder to pick-up at their sole cost and expense. Bid proposals shall be
submitted to:

A. One (1) “hard” copy and one (1) “soft” (electronic) copy on a USB “flash” drive
of the proposals are to be submitted in sealed packaging, clearly marked: “Admin
Training Room” for school district and shall be identified with the Bidder’s name and
address and the date and time of the bid proposal opening. The Owner is not
responsible for any postal or delivery delays. No email, facsimile or other electronic bid
proposals will be accepted.
B. Bid Opening will happen at the MAISD Administration Building at 630 Harvey
Street, Muskegon MI 49442 at 1:00 PM on December 8,2025

1.5 Withdrawal of Bid Proposals/Quotes
A. All bid proposals submitted shall not be withdrawn and shall be irrevocable for a
minimum period of sixty (60) calendar days following the due date for receipt of bid
proposals set forth above.
1.6 Request for Clarification
A. Bidders may request that the school district clarify information contained in this
RFP. All such requests must be made in writing via email to Jeff Fielstra, Muskegon
Area ISD, at jfielstra@muskegonisd.org

1.8 Scope/Clarification of Work
A. Install locations.
a. ESC South Building
b. All structural low voltage cabling required to complete installation (18/2
speaker cable, and Cat6 with required male terminations).
B. Install and configure new network switch in nearest network closet rack
C. Install Vertiv GTX5 UPS in rack and interconnect power to all new network and AV
equipment
D. Register Codec EQ and all associated Cisco hardware components to control hub
E. Assist MAISD with resource account creation for room scheduling and OBTP
meeting join
F. Configure Solution integration to operate with all of the following: Zoom Meetings,
Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Cisco Webex
G. Calibrate Cisco microphone in room for optimal audio pickup
H. Configure Presenter Track
I. Complete testing and acceptance tasks to ensure implementation of a fully
functional room solution was successful.
J. Switches must be able to stack with existing Juniper network switches.
K. Vendors should assume there is adequate rack space for the new switches to be
added however there may need to be some reorganization to properly stack them.
AFFIDAVIT OF COMPLIANCE – IRAN ECONOMIC SANCTIONS ACT

“Contractor”), pursuant to the compliance certification requirement provided in the

_____________________________ (the “RFP”), hereby certifies, represents and warrants that
the Contractor (including its officers, directors and employees) is not an “Iran linked business”
within the meaning of the Iran Economic Sanctions Act, Michigan Public Act No. 517 of 2012
(the “Act”), and that in the event Contractor is awarded a contract as a result of the
aforementioned RFP, the Contractor will not become an “Iran linked business” at any time during
the course of performing any services under the contract. The Contractor further acknowledges
that any person who is found to have submitted a false certification is responsible for a civil
penalty of not more than $250,000.00 or 2 times the amount of the contract or proposed
contract for which the false certification was made, whichever is greater, the cost of the School
District’s investigation, and reasonable attorney fees, in addition to the fine. Moreover, any
person who submitted a false certification shall be ineligible to bid on a request for proposal for
three (3) years from the date that it is determined that the person has submitted the false
certification.
