  2. Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids will be received by Desoto County Board of Supervisors and Desoto County Convention and Visitor's Bureau for the construction of the Landers Center Expansion BP-05 P – Fire Suppression for the Building, located at 4560 Venture Drive, Southaven, MS 38671 until 4:00 PM local time on the 20th day of January 2026.

  1. Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for: To Be Determined.
  2. Deadline for any questions: Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
  3. Bid Bond is to be made payable to the Construction Manager, Montgomery Martin Contractors, LLC and must be submitted to the Desoto County Procurement Office PRIOR to the time of Bid Due Date. (It is recommended at least thirty (30) minutes prior.)
  4. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities, the right to reject one or all bids and the option to postpone action and final decision for a period of up to sixty (60) calendar days.
  5. TO:  POTENTIAL BIDDERS
  6. Official bidding documents may be downloaded from the Desoto County Procurement Website at www.desotocountyms.gov/bids.aspx, or from Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com. Electronic bids can also be submitted at www.centralbidding.com. For any questions relating to the electronic bidding procedures, please call Central Bidding at 225-810-4814.
  7. Partial Sets will not be issued.
  8. Bidders will be required to provide Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid.
  9. Refer to other bidding requirements described in Section 00 2113 - Instructions to Bidders and Section 00 3100 - Available Project Information.
  10. Submit your offer on the Bid Form provided. Bidders may supplement this form as appropriate, and as allowed by the State of Mississippi Public Bid Laws.
  11. Submit your Bid in Duplicate and include a flash drive (with bid documents saved to it). The requirement to submit your Bid in Duplicate with accompanying flash drive applies to hand-delivered bid packages only.
  12. Your offer will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 (sixty) calendar days after submission.
  13. The bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible and qualified bidder. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities, the right to reject one or all bids and the option to postpone action and final decision for a period of up to forty-five (45) calendar days.
  14. Bidders must be properly licensed at the time of the bid and provide evidence of compliance with the applicable provisions of Section 31-3-21 (or latest revision) of Mississippi Code before such bid may be considered.
  15. All bids submitted in excess of $50,000 by a prime or subcontractor to do any erection, building, construction, repair, maintenance or related work must comply with the Mississippi Contractors Act of 1985 by securing a Certificate of Responsibility from the State Board of Contractors. The Prime Bidder's Certificate Number must be placed on the outside of the sealed envelope, or the bid will not be opened. Subcontractors requiring a Certificate of Responsibility must be listed, including their Certificate of Responsibility Number, on the Sub-Contractor List with the Bid.
