New York State Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program
Description:

Description of goods to services to be bid:

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) announces the availability of $3,016,368 in funding to support energy audits that utilize passive house principles and energy efficiency and electrification upgrades at eligible municipal facilities. Eligible improvements include: a) Energy efficiency: building envelope and weatherization upgrades, lighting, installation of energy efficient appliances, efficient heating and cooling systems, cool roofs, and water efficiency measures. b) Home and building energy management systems: electric grid interactive equipment such as smart thermostats, energy storage systems, and building energy management systems. c) Building electrification measures: the installation of heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, residential or commercial cooking equipment, and associated wiring and panel upgrades.

Through this program, NYSERDA will advance significant building decarbonization efforts and generate expanded knowledge on public retrofit projects to develop solutions to common problems. Awarded municipalities are expected to complete audit work by December 31, 2025 and all implementation work by September 30, 2026.

If changes are made to this solicitation notification will be posted on NYSERDA’s website at: www.nyserda.ny.gov/funding-opportunities
