INVITATION TO BID
SLIPPERY ROCK UNIVERSITY of PENNSYLVANIA UP-514: Boozel Dining Hall Exterior Condensate Line Replacement Slippery Rock University of the PA State System of Higher Education invites Contractors to download bid documents for this project. Work for the Project shall be accomplished by Separate Prime Contractors according to Pennsylvania statute. The Lead Prime Contractor shall be the General. Specific instructions for coordination and responsibilities of the Lead Prime Contractor are contained in Section 0131000, Project Management and Coordination, and elsewhere throughout the Contract Documents. Work included in each Separate Prime Contract shall include, but not be limited to, the following: A. General Construction UP-514.1 The General Construction Contractor will locate utilities, excavate, install trench boxes, core bore existing valve vaults and prepare the location for the piping installation. Once piping has been installed, the contractor will seal the trench boxes, backfill and compact, and restore the grounds to previous conditions per the contract documents. The General Construction Contractor will be responsible for procurement and storage of materials and equipment including but not limited to the trench boxes and associated hardware. The contractor will be responsible for the Erosion and Settlement Control of the construction site. B. Mechanical Construction UP-514.2 The Mechanical Construction Contractor will install the piping, valves, expansion joints, support rollers and anchors, and tie-in the new piping into the existing piping. Contractor will test lines per the contract documents. Work shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, the furnishing of all labor, superintendence, materials, tools and equipment and performing all work necessary to complete all Construction to the satisfaction of the University, and subject to approval of the Professional and State System of Higher Education. A Pre-bid conference, with site visit to follow, will be held on November 21, 2024, at 10:00AM, at the Facilities & Planning Conference Room, 100 Building & Grounds Drive located in Slippery Rock, PA 16057. Electronic Bids are due no later than 2:00 PM, EST on December 17, 2024, through PASSHE’s ARIBA Sourcepoint located at http://seller.ariba.com. The Bid package is available at http://seller.ariba.com. In order to submit a proposal, interested bidders need to register at PASSHE’s ARIBA Sourcepoint http://seller.ariba.com. Registration is a free process that takes only a few minutes. Once registered, bidders may obtain all solicitation documents, receive notification of solicitation updates, and submit and update their confidential bids online.
