Project Description: Tempe Town Lake is a reservoir situated within a portion of the normally dry bed of the Salt River as it passes through the City of Tempe (City). The lake extends nearly two miles in length, with an average surface area of approximately 224 acres, an average depth of 13 feet, and a total average volume of 2,910 acre-feet. The lake is managed through the country's largest hydraulically operated steel gate dam system, which serves as a reliable long-term water retention solution.
The City is seeking to purchase floating dock components and assemblies that will be similar to the docks shown in Exhibit A. The City will use internal staff to install the dock system and possibly additional dock systems in the near future. As an option, the City is also seeking experienced contractor(s) who can deliver & install floating dock systems as well as experienced contractors that can perform inspections, maintenance / component-level repair, and part replacements.
